Virtual Critter Career Connection Program
Geared toward K-5th classrooms, but can be modified for all ages.

After your program date is confirmed, we will provide you with a Zoom link and instructions. On the scheduled day and time, your group members sign in to Zoom through the link to join our educators and Animal Ambassadors, which may include a selection of invertebrates, reptiles, amphibians, and small mammals. These Ambassadors will help our educators introduce different zoo and wildlife careers to your students.
Some animals you may see:
- Ball python
- Red rat snake
- African pygmy hedgehog
- Giant African millipede
- Madagascar hissing cockroach
- Ornate box turtle
Due to the unpredictable nature of live animal programs, we cannot make any guarantees which animals will be available on any particular day.

Our Virtual Career Chat is a 45 minute presentation with a Zoo staff member over Zoom discussing the various careers at the Henry Vilas Zoo.
It’s not just Zookeepers! It takes a lot of people to run the Zoo, find out the skills and passions of all the people who help us advance our mission!
