Our Zoo Afterschool Program is available only for students at Franklin and Randall Elementary Schools.
Join us for some zoo exploration, learning, and fun after your regular school day!
Add your name to the interest form and waiting list for Fall 2022.
Transportation from schools to the Zoo is provided. Participants must have their own transportation home at the end of each day.
Activities will include:
- Homework help
- Science-based inquiry activities
- Zoo tours
- Animal encounters
- Keeper chats
- Quiet and group reading
- Nature exploration
- Games
- Crafts
- Daily snacks provided
Days/Times:
Fall semester: Friday, Sept 2nd 2022 through Tuesday, Dec 20th 2022
Registration is by semester.
From school dismissal (2:27pm, 12:55pm on Mondays) to
Pick-up at the Zoo between 4:30 and 5:30 pm
Cost:
$2,890 per student for the fall semester
A 10% down payment is due at registration, monthly payments in Sept, Oct, and Nov of 25% of the total. The final balance is due in December.
Scholarships Available:
Thanks to a generous grant from Dane County, we are able to provide a number of full or partial scholarships for this program.
